The American Heart Assoicaion instructor course(s) is an intensive course for those individuals who have already successfully demonstrated excellent skills in the discipline-specific provider course. Instructor candidate should exemplify integrity, demonstrate strong ethics, communicate clearly, and model a dedication to quality training.
Course Prerequisites: Instructor candidates must meet certain requirements before taking the instructor course. Before attending the discipline-specific classroom portion of an instructor course, all instructor candidates must: • Be at least 18 years of age• Be aligned with an AHA Training Center - CPST is current accepting Instructor candidate applications for alignment. Submitting an instructor candidate application will also be used as your alignment application.• Complete an Instructor Candidate Application and submit with copy of AHA discipline-specific cards• Have a current AHA discipline-specific Provider course Completion card• Be proficient in the skills of CPR and First Aid (discipline-specific)• Complete discipline-specific Instructor Essentials (Will be provided with Course Registration) We offer instructor courses twice a year for individauls. We offer group instructor courses for your facility, certain restrictions apply. Instructor course fees $350.00 Our next Instructor is running October 20, 2023. Registration deadline is 9/20/23. Future Instructor courses April 2024.
